RNAi targeting an animal virus: news from the front

Mol Cell. 2002 May;9(5):925-7. doi: 10.1016/s1097-2765(02)00539-7.

Abstract

Although many eukaryotic organisms exhibit RNA interference, its role as an antiviral pathway is established only for plants. A recent paper demonstrates that it also acts in animals, and reveals a viral suppressor of this process.
