Abstract

The risk for aortic dissection or further dilation of the ascending aorta exists after aortic valve replacement. We present a case of acute aortic dissection following replacement of the aortic valve. The management and treatment of dilated ascending aorta associated with aortic valve disease are reviewed and discussed.
