Phlebectasia of the external jugular vein: a case report

Abstract

A case of localized dilatation of the external jugular vein, with an irregularly thickened wall, enlarging during the Valsalva manoeuver, is presented. It is believed to represent a venous aneurysm, which is a rather rare condition.
