Pneumoperitoneum following percutaneous radiofrequency ablation of hepatocellular carcinoma unrelated to bowel injury: a case report

Hepatogastroenterology. 2007 Dec;54(80):2365-7.

Abstract

Radiofrequency (RF) ablation is considered as a relatively low-risk technique for treating liver malignancy. The pneumoperitoneum without peritoneal sign after RF ablation is previously unreported. A case is reported here of localized pneumoperitoneum unrelated to bowel injury following RF ablation for hepatocellular carcinoma.
