The IASLC has proposed revisions based on the evaluation of outcomes in an extensive worldwide database. This review outlines the changes in the tumor, node, metastasis (TNM) descriptors and stage groupings anticipated in the official new stage classification system for non-small-cell lung cancer with the forthcoming publication of the 7th Edition of the stage classification.
