Tinea imbricata

Abstract

Tinea imbricata (TI) is a chronic superficial mycosis caused exclusively by Trichophyton concentricum. Characteristically, the lesions are composed of multiple concentric annular plaques that have thick adherent peripheral rims of scale. A brief review of this infection is presented.
