Abstract

The aim of this article is to provide some practical guidelines for the delineation of organs at risk in intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) in head and neck cancer, drawn from anatomic, radiology, physiopathology date which will take into account the daily imperatives of radiation oncologists. Standardizing the delineation of organs at risk by consensus, might help for an objective comparison of toxicities induced by radiotherapy.
