Everting balloon catheter in the biliary tree: a technical note

Cardiovasc Intervent Radiol. 1986;9(3):164-6. doi: 10.1007/BF02577930.

Abstract

Use of an everting thru-lumen balloon catheter allowed successful percutaneous transluminal cholangioplasty in a patient with sclerosing cholangitis when conventional methods had failed. The catheter we used was a prototype; however, further refinements are planned, and we feel this will be a useful tool in a variety of interventional procedures.
