Three New Sesquiterpenes from the Leaves of Aglaia elaeagnoidea with NO Inhibitory Activity

Abstract

Aglanoideas A-C (1-3), three undescribed sesquiterpenes and eleven known compounds (4-14) were isolated from the leaves of Aglaia elaeagnoidea. Their structures including absolute configurations were characterized by using IR, HR-ESI-MS, NMR, and experimental and calculating ECD methods. Compounds 3-5, and 7 showed moderate nitric oxide inhibitory activity with IC₅₀ values ranging from 53.7 to 72.5 μM.
