Platelets and the inflammatory response

Clin Lab Med. 1983 Dec;3(4):667-76.

Abstract

The involvement of platelets with inflammatory mediators, synthesized and/or released on contact with inflammatory signals, has recently been defined. Localized interactions of platelets and neutrophils with the blood vessel wall and with each other represent another part platelets play in the modulation of inflammatory responses.
