Abstract
Osteochondritis dissecans of the patella is a rare condition. 15 patients who had been treated by surgery were evaluated retrospectively by clinical examination, standard radiographs of the patellofemoral joint and using the Lysholm-Score. The results of treatment were classified as good, sometimes excellent. The worst results were found in centrally located lesions or in chondromalacia changes occurred at the time of surgery.
