AJR Am J Roentgenol. 1998 Dec;171(6):1521-3. doi: 10.2214/ajr.171.6.9843282.

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this article is to report a previously undescribed MR imaging finding that is associated with osteochondral injuries of the knee.

Conclusion: In adult patients, segmental absence of chemical shift artifact in the subchondral femoral condyles on T1-weighted MR images is associated with osteochondral fractures.
